Live from St Louis: A conversation with my brother
I'm in St. Louis this week, celebrating the holidays with my family, tonight in particular out with friends of my brother and sister-in-law from when they lived in St. Louis themselves, not that long ago. Here, a five-minute conversation with my brother about how their holiday has been going, the recent NYC transit strike, and the bleeding-edge tech company in Manhattan where he works.

Live from Karoake at Carol's: A talk with my friend Anna
Oh Lord, I'm at another karaoke night - this one at Carol's Pub in Uptown, the scary redneck bar where hipster indie-rockers love a night of slumming. Here, a five-minute convo with my friend Anna (she of my Halloween "Shining" audiopost as well), about how she and my poetry buddy Kate suckered me into this, and how Anna thinks her performance later of a Carole King song is going to go.later.

Live from the Metra suburban train: A conversation with Alamar
Greetings from the Metra suburban train system, where my friend Alamar and I are finally making our way to the Fermi National Accelerator Lab in Batavia. Here, a five-minute conversation about the nightmare this trip will likely be, plus Alamar's thoughts on Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry, the Berghoff Oktoberfest in the Loop, and misspelled menus in the Lincoln Square neighborhood.
